Television Director. He directed more than two-hundred episodes of several popular TV programs of the 1970s and 1980s, among them "The Rookies," "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "CHiPs." Born in Chicago, he served with the US Coast Guard during World War II, before launching his career in television at WBBM in Chicago; he came to national prominence as director of the historic Kennedy-Nixon presidential debate of 1960. Bondelli initiated his Hollywood career during the late 1960s, serving as assistant director on the series "Mod Squad." Among his other credits include "S.W.A.T.," "Charlie's Angels," "The Bionic Woman," "Fantasy Island," "Switch" and "T.J. Hooker."
