He was born on May 18, 1921 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Hobert and Grace Barnes. He was an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Hand; his son, Jim Hand; his daughter, Linda (Walter) Darby; two granddaughters, Ann Westmoreland and Rebecca Hand all of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, June 16, 1999.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 in the Seaside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Travis Baptist Church.
