Lavonia Odessa (Patton) Lasher, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2011, in Montgomery, TX. A housewife and Realtor, she also did volunteer work with AARP. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Sydney (Sid) Lasher, weatherman for KHOU-TV from 1961 to 1971. Lavonia is survived by her daughter, Frances M. Sloan; son, George R. Lasher; granddaughter, Christine L. Young and sister, Peggy Busby. A graveside service will be held in the cemetery of Forest Park Westheimer on Sat., Feb. 12, at 3PM with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
