Mrs. Floyd was born May 31, 1933 in Cleveland County, the daughter of H. "Hattie" and Della Shelby Ashcraft.
Mrs. Floyd was reared and received her education in Rowell, Arkansas. She attended Woodlawn Schools.
Mrs. Floyd married the love of her life, Homer Floyd, on July 31, 1948.
She was a wonderful homemaker and mother to her two children, while her husband was an insurance agent. She is said to have been the best cook around. Her kitchen has been frequented by her children, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren throughout their lives. She has been a true friend to many.
Mrs. Floyd was a charter member of Forrest Park Assembly of God. She lived her life as a Christian, which was her greatest attribute.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Troy Ashcraft; sisters, Lois
Spakes, Robbie Koonce, and Ruby Mitchell.
Survivors include her husband, Homer Floyd; son, Alan (Linda) Floyd of Fordyce, Ark; daughter, Becky Floyd, of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Floyd of Benton, Arkansas, Nikki Jacobs of Woodlawn, Arkansas, Brandy (Doug) Walls of Pine Bluff, and Allyson (Chris) Ernst of Pine Bluff; great-grand-children, Laura, Grace, Emily, Dylan, Ben, and Drew.
Burial was at Rowell Cemetery.
