EDWARD N BLACKWELL of Winter Park, FL died at home - he was the son of James Monroe and Sarah Charlotte Blackwell. Ed was a retired factory distribution manager for the Cadillac Division of General Motors Corporation, was a U.S. Army Tech Sergeant during WWII, fought as part of the 337th Infantry Regiment, 85th Division, Fifth Army and was awarded two bronze stars. He was predeceased in 1993 by his wife of 43 years, Gladys. Surviving are children, Christine Blackwell of Winter Park and Norm (Laurie) Blackwell of Rochester Hills, MI; grandson, Ryan Blackwell of Rochester Hills and granddaughter, Heather Blackwell of Lexington, KY and sister, Rachel Randolph of Jasper, AL. He attended All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park. A memorial service will be held at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home in Winter Park on February 26, 2011.
