Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - October 7, 1999
Deceased Name: Dorothy Larsen Sartori
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dearest friend, Dorothy Larsen Sartori , slipped quietly away in the early morning of October 6, 1999.
She was born January 20, 1917 in Salt Lake City, the youngest daughter of eight children born to John Henry and Elizabeth Olson Larsen.
She was their last surviving child, having been preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Margaret, Charles, Florence, Russel, Donna, Harlan and Lynn.
She grew up in Salt Lake City where she met and married Kenneth T. Lyman. They were later divorced. She then met and later married Henry Earl Sartori , who preceded her in death.
She loved her children, her home and with her many talents made every holiday very special.
She leaves behind her daughters: Janice (Larry) Dunford, Linda (Chad) Greene, Nancy (George) VanderWaal; and her sons: Henry Sartori and Tom Sartori . She had seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
We want to give special thanks to our sister Janice and brother Tom for helping Mom and giving her the gift of independence following a stroke 14 years ago. And a special thank you to her special friend, Jean, for her loving care and kindness.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 9, 1999, 11 a.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4850 South. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 East and on Saturday one hour prior to services.
