Funeral services for Mr. Hilden Joseph Boone, 75, will be held (time pending) Thursday in
Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on the Sunset Highway in Opelousas with burial in the
Baptist Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.
Mr. Boone, a resident of Opelousas, died at 12:25 a.m. today (Wednesday, January 28, 1998) in
Opelousas General Hospital. He was a retired dispatcher and a veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Leola May (Steward) Boone of Opelousas; his mother, Mrs. Henry (Amy) Boone of Lawtell; four sons, Waven Boone of Ville Platte, Ronald Boone of Fartt, Texas, Brandon Boone and Hilden Joseph (Joey) Boone Jr., both of Opelousas; three daughters,
Mrs. Phyllis Bellard of Crowley, Miss Melissa Boone and Mrs. Tommy (Monique) Poulet, both of Opelousas; four brothers, Henry Boone and James Boone, both of Opelousas, Louis G. Boone of Henderson and Adrian Boone of Lawtell; eight sisters, Mrs. Sherman (Ruby) Granger and Mrs.
McGuffey (Virginia) Bertrand, both of Opelousas, Mrs. Victoria Pitre, Miss Velma Boone, Miss Eva Boone, Miss Ella Bertrand and Miss Mary Lou Boone, all of Lawtell, and Mrs. Clayton (Eula) Roy of Port Barre; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his father, Henry Boone; five brothers; and two sisters.
