Irene F. Kleffner, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011. She was born on April 13, 1923, to Frank and Sophie Janosec, in Taylor, Texas. She worked at the U.S. Navy Shipyard, in Houston, Texas during World War II as a pattern layout Technician. Irene retired from Doctor's Regional Hospital as an LVN. She enjoyed participation in the AARP widows group. She enjoyed being with family and friends, also liked cooking, sewing, and crocheting.

She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, and devotion to family.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

She is preceded in death by Frank Janosec, Sophie Biezenski, Norbert Kleffner, and baby Kleffner.

Irene is survived by children: Veronica Kleffner, Diane Bean, Tim Kleffner; granddaughters: Yvonne Bean (Danny Gallant) and Michelle Bean; and 4 great- grandchildren: Alyssa and J.J. Sauceda, Alex and Kaitlynn Bustos.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at St. Pius Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
