Dr. David H. Ardery, 74, R.R.4, Greensburg, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 1988, at his residence. He was born May 15, 1914, in Decatur County, the son of Samuel
Ardery, who died Jan. 23, 1947, and Florine Bowman Ardery, who died July 30, 1977. He graduated in 1933 from Greensburg High School and in 1950 from the Veterinary School at Ohio State University. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. He spent 39 months in Australia while serving in the U.S. Air Force in World War II, and was a member of the Welsh-Crawley-Kramer Post 129 of the American Legion. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and to the Elks Club. He had resided at his home since 1959, when he established his own veterinarian practice next to his residence. Earlier he worked with Dr. Dyar C.Wood, veterinarian. He married Malena Robbins Jan. 5, 1952, in Greensburg, and she survives; with two daughters: Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Simmons, San
Francisco, Calif., and John K. Ardery, Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Robert S. Ardery, Shelbyville, Ind.; and two sisters: Mary F. Dunn, and Mrs. Dyar (Ruth) McHenry, both of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Burk.
