She was the daughter of Samuell Spurr and Mary Blackman Spurr. She married Consider Fuller Knowles Dec 20,1831 in Harmoney ME. She was the mother of 12 Children, including Freeman Tully Knowles a Populist who ran newspapers in NE and Deadwood SD and was elected to the House of Representative.
Her daughter Helen lived in Vermillion also, she died there in 1882, one month after giving birth to a baby daughter name Helen or Pansy. Helen is also buried in this cemetery. Baby Helen grew up as Helen Austin and married Andrew Whittemore.

Her husband Consider Fuller Knowles died in 1870 in Maine
