Funeral services for Thelma Cassie Plumlee, 88, of Gainesville are set for Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, with Ben Willingham and David Gray officiating.
Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
The family received friends on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral Home.
Thelma passed away on March 19, 2011 in Gainesville.
Thelma was born on Oct. 10, 1922 in Collingsworth County to William B. and Cassie A. Stone Plumlee. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ and had various occupations including working at Weber Aircraft and being employed in daycare. Thelma loved her family and her church.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Barbara Dee and her husband, Joe Roberts and Dawn and her husband George Bond; sons, Bradley Thomason and Terry and his wife Karen Thomason; grandchildren, Joanna and her husband Barry Durham, Timothy Roberts, Bredger and his wife Gina Thomason, Nicole and her husband David Johnson, Taylor Thomason, George and his wife Tina Bond II and Emily Bond; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth McDonnell, Mildred and her husband Clarence Jasper and Billie and her husband Willie Willingham.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jedediah Thomason; siblings, Geanie Hart, Ralph Plumlee, Bessie Westbrook, Jessie Brickey, Ethel Kammerdiener, Georgie Tyler, Denton Plumee, S.B. Plumlee, Terry Plumlee, Golden Scott Plumlee and Bonner Plumlee.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tim Roberts, Bredger Thomason and George Bond II and nephews, Luke Lawerence, Scotty Plumlee and Bryan Kammerdiener. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Willingham, Mitch Willingham, Johnny Plumlee, Charles Tyler and Wilbur Tyler.
