McGREGOR FAMILY
Rev. A. W. (Bill) McGregor, Mrs. Shirley McGregor, Kathleen McGregor, and Colleen McGregor, all of 2910 Fairway Drive, Sugarland, Texas, were killed in a plane crash in Jeff Davis County, near Pecos, Texas sometime Monday. Rev. McGregor was a native of Corpus Christi, and had spend most of his life here with the exception of the past ten years in Houston. He graduated from Ray High School in 1953. He attended Baylor University, and graduated from UCC in 1958. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1961. He was the pastor of Tuloso-Midway Baptist Church from 1963 to 1965, before going to Houston as pastor of Westbury Baptist Church. For the past two years he was pastor at the University Baptist church in Clear Lake, a suburb of Houston. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. McGregor, Corpus Christi; one brother, John McGregor, Corpus Christi; and one sister, Mrs. Harold Morris, Galveston, Texas. Mrs. McGregor was a native of Dallas, and had lived most of her life in Corpus Christi. She graduated from Ray High School in 1952. She graduated from Baylor University in 1955. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Barnhill, Corpus Christi; two sisters, Mrs. Beverly Eldridge, Corpus Christi; and Mrs. Marvin Henry, Houston, Texas. Kathleen McGregor, 16, was born in Corpus Christi. She was a student of John Foster Dulles High School in Houston. Colleen McGregor was born in Dallas. She was a student of John Foster Dulles Jr. High School. Both girls are survived by their paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. McGregor; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Barnhill, all of Corpus Christi. Joint funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon O. Elmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park. Under the direction of Cage-Mills Downtown Chapel.
