CHESAPEAKE - Glennie Marwitz Sides, 87, of Wilmington, N.C., passed away Dec. 31, 2005, at Cape Fear Hospital.
Mrs. Sides was retired from C&P Telephone as a payroll clerk and a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and the Red Hat Society.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles A. Marwitz and second husband Franklin D. Sides.
She is survived by her daughter, Lyndal M. Billings and her husband Robert E. of Wilmington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Valencia Ferguson of Bowling Green, Ky., V. Lynn Zabloudil of Chandler, N.C. and Victoria Byers of Erie, Pa.; and six great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Kevan, Kerstin, Jessica, Elizabeth and Brandi.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Charles E. Mosely. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
