She was the daughter of Augustus Henry Eden Allhusen and Osma Mary Dorothy Stanley. She married, firstly, Baronet, Lt.-Cdr. Sir Geoffrey Congreve, son of General Sir Walter Norris Congreve, V.C. and Cecilia Henrietta Dolores La Touche, on 14 October 1922. She married, secondly, Reginald James Tyler Stewart Mackenzie on 21 October 1942.
