Virginia was born July 1, 1921 in Anson County, NC, a daughter of the late George Dewey and Lula Hutchinson Turner. She was a homemaker and had worked for several years with West Knitting Mills.
A life-long member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, she was recognized for her 35 years of service with the nursery at the church.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years Robert A. Moore of the home; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Darrell Edwards of Ansonville and Robyn and Danny Bowers of Polkton; her grandchildren, Kyle Edwards and wife, Jill of Peachland, Erin Edwards and Taylor Edwards both of Ansonville, Marty Bowers of Atlanta, GA and Jaclyn Bowers of Charlotte; her great-granddaughter, Katilyn Bowers; and her brother and sisters, Harold Turner of Glenn Allen, VA, Faye Smith of Conover, NC and Betty Brigman of Hamlet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brothers, Laura Maness, George Turner, Jr. and James Turner.
