The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Boutelle, wife of congressman Boutelle will take place at the family residence on Broadway, Thursday afternoon at three o'clock. The announcement of Mrs. Boutelle's death caused widespread sorrow in this community, where she was known and loved by a very wide circle of friends. During the day the bereaved family received many verbal and written messages of condolences and sympathy from friends in the city. Telegraphic messages of condolence were also received from senators Hale and Frye, ex-speaker Reed, Congressman Milliken, Lodge, Herbert, Townsend, Senator Hansborough and others. Wherever Mrs. Boutelle went her sunny and always lovable disposition won for her warm and true friendship and the bereaved husband, daughters and parents have the heartfelt affection and sympathy of all in their sad affliction. Mrs. Boutelle was the daughter of Gen. John L. Hodsdon and during the twenty-six years of her married life has ever been the loving wife, affectionate mother and kind friend.
