Evelyn (nee Powell) Neubauer, 88, of Lewiston, NY, went to her eternal home on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on December 17, 1921 in Summerville, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Mabel (Crawford) Powell.
Mrs. Neubauer attended schools in Pennsylvania and came to Niagara Falls, NY during World War II. On September 28, 1946 Evelyn married Richard G. Neubauer in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He predeceased her on November 26, 2003. She worked for the former Spirella Company and later was a Manager for Jo-Ann Fabrics in Lewiston. Mrs. Neubauer was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Niagara, NY as well as the former Home Extension Club. Evelyn enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano and sewing.
Mrs. Neubauer is survived by one daughter, Roberta ‘Robin' Neubauer of Lewiston, NY; one sister, Jean (Clair) Miller of Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins
