Born March 9, 1932, in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Margaret E. Ness Austin. She was the wife of James Stanley Magee Sr., who died May 23, 2004.
She had been a seamstress at English American Tailoring. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardening, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are children and spouses James Jr. and Kathy Magee, Joseph Magee and friend Sue Peddicord, and Joann Magee, all of Westminster, and Joyce and William Akers, of Taneytown; brothers and sisters Charles D. Austin, of Bel Air, Russell J. Austin, of North Carolina, Carroll J. Austin, of Florida, Margaret L. Hennigan, and Mildred R. Jackson, both of Reisterstown, and Patricia D. Smith, of Finksburg; grandchildren Jimmy Magee, Heather and Ryan Sexton, and Darby, Brandy and Andy Akers; and great-grandchildren Kayla, Sydney, Skylar, Katelyn and Deegan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Evelyn A. Hymiller, Mary A. Crawford and Naomi R. Latimer.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg
