Born November 15, 1900 in Indian Territory land that is now Oklahoma, the daughter of Reason Turner and Henrietta Louise Rogers. Beloved wife of the late Charles Stunkard Greer, Lt. Colonel Retired U.S. Army; loving mother of Charleen (Peter) Edge and the late Charles Stevenson (Barbara) Greer; dear grandmother of Joseph (Katherine) Hubbard Saunders, John Baker Saunders, Jr. and Henrietta (Richard Day) Turner Saunders; fond great grandmother of 3; dear sister of the late Lena Clark & Roy J. Turner, former Governor of Oklahoma.
Viola attended Iowa State University and University of Lexington, Lexington, Kentucky. Member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and actively involved in Red Cross during WWI & WWII. Member of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth where she was voted Senior of the Year in 1980. An active member and served on the council of the Senior Center in Winnetka.
Memorial service Friday, September 20, 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 222 Kenilworth Ave, Kenilworth, Illinois. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity would be appreciated. Arrangements by Hanekamp Funeral Home.
