Mrs. Stella Marie Baker, 49, a native of Lewis County, Mo., died Sunday in her home in Quincy. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in the Duker Funeral Home and in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery at St. Patrick. Mrs. Baker was born July 11, 1908, a daughter of Robert and Margaret Bader Logsdon. She lived in Quincy the past 25 years. Her marriage to James S. Baker took place May 12, 1932. Mrs. Baker was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Pfc. James R. Baker, stationed in Lincoln, Neb.; two stepsons, Bernard J. Baker of Quincy and Ernest F. Baker of Canton; two brothers, Eugene Logsdon of Williamstown and Joseph W. Logsdon of Quincy; three sisters, Mrs. George Zerull of Rock Island, Mrs. George Weigand of Canton, and Mrs. Emmett Ellison of Canton; five grandchildren, Debra and Joseph Baker, Mrs. Charles Gengenbacher and Mary Jo and Rebecca Baker; a great-grandson, Michael R. Gengenbacher, and nieces and nephews.
