Clifton Ray Bergeaux ,44, died at 10:30 Monday at Crowley American Legion Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m . Wednesday at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee- Mamou. A rosary will be held at 8 p. m. today at Segura Funeral Home in Jennings, Louisiana. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
A native of Evangeline, Louisiana , Bergeaux lived in the Tee- Mamou area most of his life. He was a farmer and he belonged to the Evangeline Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife , Gertrude Kratzer Bergeaux, his mother Mrs. Angelina Bergeaux of Tee-Mamou, two sons Sidney and Christopher Bergeaux both of Tee-Mamou; two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert LeJeune of Iota, and Mrs. Kenneth Credeur of Jennings, one brother, Howard Bergeaux of Evangeline; five sisters, Mrs. Attie Hebert, and Mrs. Lloyd Simar of Evangeline, Mrs. Ulysses Fruge of Jennings, Mrs. Morris Miller of Iota and Mrs. Jerry Wade of New Iberia and two grandchildren.
