Minnie was my Great-Aunt.

She was the second of four children born to Archibald Thomas CAMPBELL and Lucinda Bellezora BRASHEARS.

She was married to Henry Thomas WILLIS on February 23rd, 1902, in Connerville, OK. Together they had seven children:

Clara Lillie
Daniel Monroe (1904-1975)
Hazel Dorothy WILLIS Sides Bettes (1905-1977)
James Thomas
Enos Henry
Lois WILLIS Ellis (1913-1975)
Ferne E. WILLIS Shields (1916-1974)

Obituary

Services were held at the First Christian Church for Mrs. Minnie Lee Willis, 66, long-time resident of Anadarko who passed into the light on Oct. 24, 1952, in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Mrs. Willis was born Feb. 23, 1886 in Grayson County, TX, and moved to Anadarko in 1914 from Chickasha. She was married to Henry Thomas Willis on Feb. 23, 1902. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1942.

Mrs. Willis was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Rebecca Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Iris flower club unit and the Baptist Church.

Rev. J.T. Roberts, pastor of the church officiated at the services. Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery under direction of the Smith Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Willis is survived by three sons, Dan Willis, Anaheim, CA; Commander Enos H. Willis, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, VA; and James T. Willis, Midland, TX; and four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Vandagriff, Okla. City; Mrs. Hazel Bettes, Okla. City; Mrs. Lois Ellis, Ventura, CA; and Mrs. Ferne Shields, Kansas City, MO; a brother James Campbell, Okla. City, OK, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Stephens, Long Beach, CA.
