Obituary:

Mrs. Emeline McDaniel, for many years a north shore resident, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her son, Charles McDaniel, in Wilmette. Mrs. McDaniel who was 77 years old at the time of her death, accompanied her parents to Evanston from New Hampshire in 1838. On Nov. 27, 1842, she was married to Alexander McDaniel, who, in 1868 aided in laying out the village of Willmette when it was organized upon the transfer of th Ouilmette reservation to the government. Mr. McDaniel died four years ago. Mrs. McDaniel is survived by three sons, Charles,and Henry McDaniel of Wilmette and William McDaniel of Chicago. Arrangements have not been completed for the funeral, but the interment probably will take place at Rosehill, a cemetery named by her husband.
