Elizabeth Young Barrow was the daughter of David Young and his wife Elizabeth. Her family was from Lee Co, Virginia and then she moved with her parents to Wayne Co, Kentucky.
Her parents both died in Kentucky, her father in 1823. In 1824, Elizabeth moved with her husband David Barrow to Monroe Co, Indiana. Arriving with them at the same time was Elizabeth's brother, David Young along with his wife Christiana and their children.

Descendants of David and Elizabeth Barrow and David and Christiana Young still live in Monroe Co, Indiana today.
