The mother of celebrated songsmith Herman Hupfeld, whose "As Time Goes By" was immortalized in the filmscore of "Casablanca", Mrs. Hupfeld was also a musician and for many years the organist at the Watchung Congregational Church in Montclair, NJ. She survived her famous son by six years, and after her death at age 90, was buried beside him.
