CHESTER - Mrs. Annie Katheryn Matthews Grant, 81, of 1614 Pinckney Road died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Ebenezer Nursing Home in Rock Hill. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Chester Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Steve Bishop officiating.

A native of York County, Mrs. Grant was a daughter of the late William B. Matthews Sr. and Ada Susan McKeown Matthews. She was a graduate of Chester High School. She was retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church. She was the widow of James C. Grant.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan Grant of Chester; her brother, Pat Matthews of Union; and her sister, Janie M. Chapman of Rock Hill.
