COON, Leo – of Clio, age 76, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, May 23, 2011 at Flint Memorial Park Chapel, Vernon Lawrence officiating. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Sunday from 1-9PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
Leo was born August 23, 1934 to the late Otis and Ethel (Smith) Coon. He married Darlene Pruden on January 13, 1961. She preceded him in death on April 13, 2009.
Mr. Coon retired from the City of Clio DPW. He enjoyed getting together with his friends.
Surviving are: children, Linda Hill (Craig ) of Flint, Laura (Richard) Plummer of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Ilene (Marvin) Hardenberg of Grand Blanc, Leola Matts of UT; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: a son, Steven Hill in 2005; 4 sisters and a brother, Donna, Cleo, Lillian, Mary Jane, Vera and LaVerne.
