Singer. He was a Spanish singer who was popular internationally during the mid-20th century. Along with his powerful voice, he is best remembered for his songs "Esa Será mi Casa," "Un Beso y una Flor," "Mi Tierra," "Libre," "América, América," "Noelia," and "Cartas Amarillas." Born Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis, he took the stage name of Nino Bravo. With his artistic career spanning from 1961 to 1973, he recorded five studio albums. While performing in singing competitions, he started singing with various groups before his solo break in the summer of 1970 with the song "Te quiero, te quiero", which eventually gave him his first number 1 hit. In September of 1973, "América, América" became a posthumous hit, going straight to number 1. He died in a car accident.
