Goldie F. Tanner, age 86, of Canton, died Saturday, May 8, 2008, in Aultman Hospital. Born February 19, 1922, in North Industry, OH to the late John F. and Stella (Newhouse) Beans.

She was a life resident of Canton and formerly employed by Leatherman Seed Co. for 17 years. Member of Stanley S. Bowman Post #440 American Legion Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Earl E. Frank in 1948; second husband, Albert J. Tanner in 1978; step-mother, Gladys Beans; one brother, Richard Beans. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Carol of Freeport, OH; two grandchildren and spouses, Julianne and Dieter of Bolivar, Katherine and James of Canton; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Shane and Faith, Joshua, Amber and Noah; one sister, Ruby of East Sparta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester and Kathryn of Canton, Floyd and Ellen of Ely, MN; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.
