In memory of
Hannah Wheat, Relict of Doctor
Samuel Wheat of this Town; She departed
this life on the 6th day of July 1792, having com-
pleated her 86th year on the day of her death.
For many years she was a professor of religion
which she adorn'd by a holy life. She so
discharged the duties of a Wife & of a Parent as
greatly endeared her to her consort & rendered
her highly respected & beloved by her children.
The tryals & infirmities she was called to
endure she bore with great patience &
resignation till worn out with age she calmly
quited the present life with a good hope of
an happy immortality.
"Her flesh shall slumber in the ground
'Till the last trumpet's joyfull sound;
Then burst the chains with sweet surprize,
And in her Savior's image rise."
