Zachariah died from dropsy at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 16 days.
Weighing over 300 lbs. at the time of his death, his casket could not be moved
through the door. Either the frame was removed from the doorway or the casket
was passed through a large window in the house. He was buried in the
Millersburg Cemetery which is located at the top of a hill perhaps a half mile
from the old town of Millersburg. Many of the family are buried in this
cemetery. He is buried near his brother Isaac, where Zachariah's stone reads:
"Whilts in this tomb our father lies,
His spirit rests above.
In realms of bliss it never dies,
But knows a Savior's love."
