George Wesley Brown
Salem, Feb. 1.--George Wesley Brown, 83, died at the home of his son, William A. Brown, of East Salem, at 1:55 a.m. today after a long illness.
He was born May 16, 1872, on Sycamore Creek, Harrison County, a son of William A. and Florinda Ward Brown. In 1925, he married Icie Coffindaffer, who died in 1943. Surviving are one son, William A., of East Salem; one daughter, Mrs. Chester (Ethel) Queen, of Wolf Summit; two grandchildren; on brother Delbert, of Salem, and three sisters, Mrs. Belle Nutter, of Bristol; Mrs. Stella Goldsmith, of Mt. Clare, and Mrs. Ina Mayfield, of Bridgeport.
Mr. Brown was a well known farmer and stockman and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
