Services for Ernest Edward Boswell, 63, were held at Jean Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Leon Christianson, the pastor, Rev. G.C. Laney and Rev. Irvin Reed Porter, pastor of Olney Baptist Church. Graveside services were directed by the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Boswell was a well-known resident of Jean and Young County. He was the correspondent of the Olney Enterprise for the Jean Community for many years. Mr. Boswell was a resident of Young County since 1916 and for several years, was the manager of the Graham Mill Elevator at Jean. He was a retired merchant. Mr. Boswell was a member of the Baptist Church, Ligon-Daniel Post No. 34 of the American Legion in Graham, past Master of the Farmer Masonic Lodge, past Master of the Loving Masonic Lodge and belonged to the Chapter Council in Graham. Mr. Boswell moved to Texas in his early youth and attended Barry High School in Navarro County and Commerce College. Mr. Boswell became a member of the Baptist Church in 1915 in Barry, Texas. He was active in the Jean Baptist Church and community affairs. Mr. Boswell served in World War I with the US Armed Forces in the Panama Canal Zone.
Survived by his wife; one daughter; two sisters ; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
