Willis Irving Bradbury was the youngest of the seven children of William Irving Bradbury and Eolian May Luker Bradbury. After high school, he went to work for Lockheed. He became very ill on January 13, 1942, and was featured in an article in The Lockheed-Vega Star on May 29, 1942. It stated that he was relieved that he still had $375 left in hospital benefits plus surgical benefits from the Lockheed insurance plan despite the fact that his lost time benefits had expired on April 23. He died of a rare form of muscular dystrophy before he turned 20 years old.
