American Colonist. The first African-American child, on record to be born in the American colonies. Son of slaves Anthony and Isabella. He was born at Jamestown, Virginia in 1624, baptized there and was sold at Fort Monroe to an English sea captin named William Tucker. Tucker is believed to be buried in his (the slaves family) family cemetery in Hampton, Virginia.
