The daughter of Confederate veteran William Henry McClelland and Hattie Cone McClelland, Sula Frances McClelland Glisson was born December 30, 1872 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She had four sisters and one brother, who married her husband's sister. Sula married John Harmon Glisson, Sr., and they had eight children: Ella Glisson, John Harmon Glisson, Jr., Daniel Glisson, Annie Glisson, Bessie B. Glisson Johnson, Howard Glisson, Norwood Glisson, and Myrtle Glisson.

Sula died at age 82 on December 21, 1955 in Chatham County and is buried at Old Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County. I hope someone will add her photo to this site.
