U.S. Congressman. He graduated from John B. Stetson University in 1930, from its law department in 1934, and was admitted to the bar and proceeded to practice law in De Land, Florida. He was attorney for the legal tax survey of Florida State, in 1934, elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-fifth Congress and to the next five succeeding Congresses, serving (1937-49). Not a candidate for re-nomination, he served as president of Hendricks Homes Company, was chairman of Planning Board for Plant City, Florida and was a member of the Hillsborough County Planning Commission until his death.
