Journalist. Born in San Bernardino, California, he is best remembered for his appearances as a reporter on the 1950s television series "You Are There", hosted by Walter Cronkite. After joining Los Angeles station KNXT as a reporter in 1952, he became the station's political editor in 1963 before serving as news director from 1966 to 1972, when he moved to Washington, D.C. to be a correspondent for CBS. He began his career as a performer on radio drama programs, when he was offered a position on CBS television. He also appeared in the film "X-15" (1961) and on the TV documentary series "Eyewitness to History". He died in Los Angeles, California, at age 60.
