Actor, Television Personality. Born in 1924, Fleming moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where after hosting several game shows, he became a radio host for the CBS owned station KMOX. He later co-hosted a midday talk show with Mary Phelan and a weekend radio game show called, "Games People Play." He also hosted the radio program, "When Radio Was." He appeared in the films, Airplane II: The Sequel" (1982), "MacArthur" (1977), and "A Hatful of Rain" (1957). Among his television work was, "International Detective" (1959)-in the role of Ken Franklin, "The Californians" (1958 to 1959)-in the role of Jeremy Pitt, "Doctor I.Q." (1953 to 1954)-in the role as the assistant, "Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theatre" (1971)-as the host, "Pantomime Quiz" (1947)-as the announcer, and "Hollywood Squares" (1970 to 1972)-as a panelist. Fleming is best remembered to television audiences as the host of the long-running game show, "Jeopardy" from 1964 to 1975, and "The All New Jeopardy" from 1978 to 1979. In 1983 he appeared as himself in Weird Al Yankovic's music video, "I Lost On Jeopardy." He retired from broadcasting in 1993.
