The death from pneumonia last Saturday night of Kathie, the little 18-months-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Simons, was a source of sincerest regret to their many friends, and in their deep affection they have the heartfelt sympathies of the entire community. While it was known that the precious little one was very sick it was not thought to be so serious, and the announcement of her death came rather as a shock. The funeral was conducted from the family residence at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon and was largely attended by friends of the grief stricken parents. Rev. Dr. Birkhead of the Episcopal church officiated. The VISITOR extends condolence to the bereaved parents.
