Mary Jane Landon is the daughter of Daniel & Nancy (Mitchell) Landon. She married Ephriam Woodruff Powers, Nov. 16, 1848 in Richmond Township (Ashtabula Co.), OH. They had at least 7 children: William, Charles, Daniel, Mary Ellen, Ida May, Ephriam, and an unk. named infant.
Mary Jane was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Ferry, MI. She & her husband were some of the original pioneer settlers in Oceana Co., MI. Ephriam owned and operated the first Saw and Grist Mill in the county. Their sons helped run the mill.
Mary Jane is buried beside her first husband, Ephriam.
In 1905, at the age of 75, she married William Tennant. (contributed by Richard Powers, 49733688)
