TUCKER, Mrs. Betty Jo - age 79, of Dayton, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at Southview Hospital. ' ' i A native of Bluefield, West Virginia and a Dayton resident the majority of her life. A retired employee of Grandview Hospital after 30 years of service. She was a member of Greater Allen A.M.E. Church where she served on the Altar Guild and Stewardess Board 1. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Tucker; 2 grandsons, William Donnell & Anthony Dwayne Stevens. Survivors include 1 son, Kevin M. (Janet E.) Tucker, of Xenia, OH; 1 daughter, Gayle E. Tucker (Lamar Webster), of Los Angeles, CA; 1 sister, Barbara (James) Goosby, of Columbus, OH; stepchildren, Henry Tucker, III, of Trotwood, OH, Norma (Robert) Menafee, of Dayton, David (Devonne) Tucker, Phillip (Sharron) Tucker, Jeffrey (Lynne) Tucker, all of Columbus, OH; devoted friend, William Billingsley, Sr.; 3 sisters-in-law, Sarah (Charles) Thompson, Virginia Nobles, Geraldine Tucker, all of Dayton; special friends, William & Martha Hogan; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, March 4, 2005 at Greater Allen A.M.E. Church, 1620 West Fifth Street. Pastor Earl G. Harris officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue.
