h/o Clara Bell Scott.
Married 12-24-1937

Father to:
Shirley Mae (Baker), - MY MOM
Billy Wayne,
Loyd Clayton,
James "Howard" &
Troy "Dean" Eddie.

Loyd (known as "Mutt" to his family and friends) served in the army- WWII- 1942-43. The family name was spelled "Edde", but during his service in the army, it got changed to the present day spelling.

When we lived with them, and I was in 4th grade, my brother, Bobby, 3rd. Report cards came out, Bobby had better grades than I did. So, in my defense, I told Grandaddy, of course, his grades were better, the work was easier. Grandaddy had the HARDEST time, making me understand that Bobby's work was a hard to him, as mine was to me. Even way back when, I was thick headed! HA!

Photo is Mutt and wife, Clara Bell Scott.
They are my maternal grandparents.

Thank you, Shuree Burgess, for retouching their photo!!
