Jean H. Spencer Allen passed away October 26, 2002. Born in Sussex, England on November 1, 1933.
Jean is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald C. Allen, and her parents, Arthur and Hilda Spencer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Philip Robbins of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Valerie Allen of El Paso; four devoted grandchildren, Hannah and Allen Robbins, and Erika and Jakob Allen. Jean also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kathleen Spencer, and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Brian Robinson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was an exceptional entertainer, story teller, painter, and seamstress, and touched people by her humor, sincerity, loving and compassionate nature. She will be greatly missed.
The family thanks the physicians, nurses and staff at Methodist Hospital for their care.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2002, at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice.
