Professional Hall of Fame Hockey Player. He played right wing position for such teams as the Vancouver Lions (1934-1936), Philadelphia Ramblers (1936-1937), New York Rangers (1936-1937, 1937-1944, and 1945-1948), St. Catharines Saints (1944-1945), Cleveland Barons (1948-1949), and Washington Lions (1948-1949). He was the father of hockey players, Bryan Hextall Jr. and Dennis Hextall, and grandfather of Ron Hextall. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1969.
