Marilyn Lou Cuttell, age 55, of Weston, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born Aug. 18, 1949, in Farnam, Neb., the daughter of Fay (Maret) Claflin and the late Wayne Claflin. Marilyn married Charles S. Cuttell in Norfolk, Neb., on Oct. 10, 1981.
She was a certified medical staff coordinator. Marilyn worked as a department secretary at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She also was a member of the Wisconsin Association Medical Staff Services.
Marilyn was an extremely loving, caring, thoughtful and creative person. She enjoyed all arts and crafts, making soaps, lotions and jewelry. Marilyn loved to go shopping, boating and the time spent at Lake Okoboji in Iowa. Most of all she loved her family and her many true friends.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck Cuttell of Weston; daughter, Cari Barrett of Omaha, Neb.; two stepsons, Jeff (Amy) Cuttell of Lawrence, Kan., and Lance (Cori) Cuttell of Seattle; her mother, Fay Claflin, McCook, Neb.; grandchildren, Jordan and Ashton Cuttell of Lawrence, Kan.; two brothers, Ed Claflin of Gothenburg, Neb., and Mike Claflin of Sumner, Neb.; two sisters, Cindy Sabin of McCook, Neb., and Lynn Ruth Raney of Ardmore, Ala. She was preceded in death by her father, and two sisters, Nita Alvord and Donna Craig.
A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau. The Rev. Roy G. Hoenecke will officiate. Visitation will follow the memorial service and will last until 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials in Marilyns name may be made in care of the Wausau Health Foundation, 1100 Lakeview Drive Wausau WI 54403 to benefit the UW Cancer Center.
