Sara Herndon Swain was the first wife of novelist and playwright George Cram Cook, she was later (1911, NYC) married to Albert C. Adams, whose family owned the Derryvale Linen Co. based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Sara (at some point she dropped the final "h" in her given name) was a magazine and advertising copywriter and also the author of "How to Set the Table For Any Occasion", published by Derryvale in 1918. Her third and final marriage occurred on 21 August 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert Harold Wilson. As late as 1927 she was still using the professional name Sara Swain Adams, as the author of several articles for "Country Gentleman" magazine. About 1949 the Wilsons moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. Sara died there in 1958, the result of a household accident - she was asphyxiated when the gas oven burner was left on with an unlit pilot.
