Salome K. "Sally" Thomas, 91, of Springfield died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Oak Terrace HealthCare Center. She was born June 11, 1907, in Springfield, the daughter of George Noble and Emma Pasfield Kreider. She married Benjamin P. Thomas; he died in 1956. She was also preceded in death by a son, George K. Thomas.
Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Goucher College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Mary Lawrence Circle of King's Daughters. She was a volunteer at St. John's Hospital, served as treasurer of the Land of Lincoln Girl Scout Council and served on the board of Planned Parenthood of Springfield.
Survivors: two daughters, Martha L. Barthel of St. Louis and Sarah H. Thomas of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Beth Merrill officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
