Negro League Baseball Executive. He, along with his wife, Effa Manley, owned the Newark Eagles from 1935 to 1946. He was also the vice president and treasurer of the Negro National League. His wife, Effa, was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006. She was the first women elected. Abe was also among the nominees, but was not selected.
