Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He was a coach as well as played guard. He played for the Duluth Eskimos from 1926 to 1927, Pottsville Maroons in 1928, Chicago Cardinals from 1929 to 1933, Chicago Bears in 1934, Green Bay Packers from 1935 to 1936, and the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1937 to 1939. He coached the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1940 to 1942, and 1954 to 1955. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1966.
